Do not discontinue the medication on your own. Please consult the doctor who prescribed it or feel free to consult me for further assistance.

The long-term prognosis for microscopic colitis is very favorable, with a normal life expectancy and no increased risk of colon cancer. But  symptoms can  relapse in some cases , after stopping treatment, depending upon extent of colitis. You are already on right treatment. Budesonide 6mg reduce inflammation and colospa retard helps you with the symptoms. Continue regular checkup with gastroenterologist and decide upon dosing and titration of medication. Please don't stop medicine without your gastroenterologist advice. Reduce stress if at all you have. Majority of inflammatory diseases have underlying increased stress being common.
