I had pcos problem for more than a year. Now that my cysts were small my gynaecologist put me on metformin to reduce my weight and insulin levels. But after taking metformin for a month I saw that my TSH levels have dropped almost 60% but my t4 levels r same. Now iam scared whether metformin caused my TSH levels to drop? And will I be hypothyroid if I continue using metformin?
Metformin has no effect on thyroid functional.
Test are only a mirror of a disease so don't consider test report as final diagnosis of a disease.
