Melatonin for my father

Can I give my father a dose of melatonin 10mg just once for a night's sleep. He's 60yrs old and is a diabetic. Pls let me know if I can.

Your father is Diabetic. Surely he must be getting treatment under the supervision of some General Physician in your area. Please let your father take Melatonin also under the supervision of the General Physician. There should be someone to attend to him if sleeps for too much time.
