Medicine after having fruits.

2022-03-10 03:03:01
I'm currently 8 weeks pregnant. I've been prescribed with needfol & zuviston 10mg thrice daily. I usually take needfol & 1 zuviston tablets post breakfast & I have banana & grapes in my breakfast. Today I read somewhere that u should not take medicine after eating fruits, since it can be harmful. Is it true? Should I avoid taking medication after eating fruits??

Modern medicine is based on studies and evidence. There is no study about medicine after fruit. If you read somewhere then you can ask that author for his references.

Medicines don't become harmful if you eat them after eating banana, but some of the medicines may become less effective. Needfol is not in that category. It can be taken any time. Zuviston should be taken before eating other foods. But you said that you are taking Zuviston thrice daily. Are you eating banana also thrice daily ?

First of all u should nt be having fruits for breakfast, it should be always combined with a high fibre food. Both medications can be taken with or without food. Always keep a gap in between any kind of medications you take.
