Respected Doctors, Tapering clonazepam 0.5 and taking the same @afternoon. Prescribed Dayvigo 5 and taking the same at night before bed after dinner. Is it ok to take clonazepam SOS after complete tapering? Regards

Hello, Thanks for your question. Once Clonazepam has been fully tapered, using it on an "SOS" (as-needed) basis is generally discouraged, especially if dependence or withdrawal symptoms were previously experienced. While occasional use may seem harmless, it can: 1. Reinforce psychological reliance. 2. Interrupt natural sleep regulation, especially when combined with Dayvigo (Lemborexant) 3. Risk slow re-development of tolerance or dependence
Next Steps
1. If you're facing breakthrough anxiety or sleep issues, discuss non-benzodiazepine options. For query/ consultation, you can contact 74X 52X 97X 67X 61X NEURONAL FIX CLINIC
Health Tips
a. Combining Clonazepam with Dayvigo can increase sedation or cognitive dulling- caution is advised. b. Long-term use of benzodiazepines, even intermittently, can interfere with sleep architecture and memory. c. Stay in regular follow-up to adjust medications based on evolving symptoms.

It's good that you have tapered and stopped to take Clonazepam on daily basis, As per my knowledge, you must be in follow up consultation with a psychiatrist. You can definitely take Clonazepam on SOS basis for anxiety even after tapering. Continue your remaining medications as advised by your doctor. Follow sleep hygiene, reduce screen use, try to reduce tea or coffee, cold drink, dinner should be before 8 and not heavy meal for sound sleep
