I recently had a blood test and there was a note saying "Macroplatelets are seen". Platelet count is 140 (x10³/μl). I want to know what does it mean?

Macroplatelets which means larger in size than normal platelets are premature platelets which occur in number of conditions. Additional history and detail evaluation needs to determine the exact cause
