Hi, my father diagnosed with lung cancer, he has no prior bad habits like smoking or drinking. It might be genetic because my grandfather also had the same issue in past. I have attached all PET scan reports. Please suggest survival rate and quality of life.

Biopsy of the lung lesion or node whichever is accessible peripherally can be done with a guided core biopsy . Or if central location they may consider a bronchoscopy guided biopsy. I would suggest to do NGS and PDL1 on the biopsy. Based on the results of biopsy and molecular tests we can plan treatment and survival will be based on that. Familial basis less likely, unlike other sites.

Survival depends on performance status of the patient, stage, histology and molecular biology. Need those information to comment on the survival. Quality of life is assessed at regular time points during treatment.
