COVID 19 definitely infiltrates the lungs and also other organs. Generally speaking, the severity of organ damage is known when a person is under treatment and shows some early symptoms like persistent cough , persistent cough, prolonged fever and recurrent pneumonia. These are some of the early indicators. Along with history of Hospitalisation and need of oxygen therapy during the hospital stay. COVID induced lung damage can be accelerated or gradually progressive. Things to look out for are persistent cough/fatigue / recurrent pneumonia /breathlessness and need for long term oxygen therapy.
