Lump on my forehead

2025-03-26 17:27:28
Hi, I am observing from few months now that there is lump on my forehead which keeps enlarging day by day and looks odd in my face. How to understand what this is. Initially it was like a pimple so i ignored and day by day its growing gradually. If u touch it feels like a hard skin or bones beneath the skin. What exactly is this and how to get rid of this? Will this go away with medicine or need to undergo surgery?

Lump on Forehead: Causes and Actions A gradually enlarging hard lump on your forehead could be: 🔹 Benign Causes: ✅ Osteoma – A bony growth that's usually painless but noticeable. ✅ Sebaceous Cyst – A fluid-filled sac under the skin, harmless unless infected. ✅ Lipoma – A soft, fatty lump (less likely if it's hard). 🔹 Serious Causes (if persistent): ⚠️ Bone Tumor – Rare but requires immediate evaluation if suspected. ⚠️ Infection/Abscess – Swollen, red, or warm lumps could indicate infection. What You Should Do? ✅ Monitor: Watch for changes in size, texture, or associated symptoms like pain. ✅ Consult a Doctor: A dermatologist or surgeon may request imaging like an X-ray or CT scan to assess the lump. ✅ Treatment: If benign, treatment might not be required. Medication may help if it's a cyst or infection. Surgery is the usual option for osteomas or persistent lumps. 📹 Consult me on Practo here! 📩 WhatsApp queries only: Eight seven six two seven four nine nine seven four
