Lump in private area
I don't know exactly what it is, and it's been there for 2-3 months and it's exactly at lower stomach right side just above private parts and it causes itching and pain sometimes, can u please guide me what steps to be taken now

The fact that it has been there for 2-3 months and is causing symptoms means it should be evaluated and treated â it will not resolve on its own. Other possibilities include a swollen lymph node or a skin cyst, but the location and appearance make inguinal hernia most likely.

Please see a General Surgeon for an in-person examination as soon as possible. The surgeon will confirm the diagnosis by physical examination and may order an ultrasound of the groin. If it is an inguinal hernia, a minor surgical procedure (hernioplasty) is the standard treatment and is very safe. Avoid heavy lifting or straining until you are evaluated.
