Lower and mid back pain

I have been having back pain for almost 5 years now predominantly my left lower back. I have visited a couple of doctors in these years and many times they get the x-ray done to see any abnormalities and find nothing in it. They say need to do physio therapy and exercise which I have been doing regularly but still I am have not been able to get any relief. I am looking out for a sustainable solution for this problem of mine as it's affecting my daily activities. Will getting a CT scan for my spine help to find out the root cause ? Need some advice please.

If your back pain is worse at night or early morning or is associated with stiffness, then it can be a symptom of Ankylosing Spondylitis (a type of arthritis of spine and sacroiliac joints). Ankylosing Spondylitis is treated with specific medications prescribed by a Rheumatologist

MRI of spine is usually more helpful than CT scan. But clinical assessment of spine hips and legs, nerve assessment are more important.  Proper assessment of hamstring tightness and alignment of legs is necessary for decision making
