Dear sir,I have done my thyroid test and it shows TSH normal,T3 normal but t4(3.5) is low .I am having tachycardia. My question to you is that is tachycardia caused by low t4 levels or something else. Can it cause high BP.

No you have TSH normal , this is principal, low T4 is not give tachycardia but bradycardia. Still Free T3 and Free T4 more reliable. But you not given your past history wether purpose of thoirid function was on treatment or just done?

Isolated low T4 is uncommon and can be due to lab error. Get a repeat testing in another lab with free t4 and free t3.

Low total T4 can be due to binding protein deficiency or just lab error, Get free T4 done, low T4 causes bradycardia not tachycardia , hypothyroidism can cause hypertension ( diastolic)
