Hello! My father (75 years) was hospitalised and given IV last week for low sodium levels due to Tazloc CT. He was discharged on Wednesday. Today his sodium level is 120 so he's been asked to start natrise 15 mg 1/2 tablet at bedtime. I need to know is this correct treatment? Is it safe to take this tablet at home? By when can his sodium level be expected to be normal? Pls help

Yes it is correct. We all need right balance of electrolytes like sodium potassium etc. They should neither go high nor low. You need to keep his electrolytes under observation by regular blood test.

Hi its the correct medicine.Usually elderly patients are prone to hyponatremia(low sodium levels),most its due to poor nutrition. Yes completely safe to take at home.

Hi You   need  to  take  this  tablet  othereise  sodium  again  drop  down Do  regular  electrolyte  check  up  Every  3rd  day  at  least . You  can  stop  it  if  sodium  become  normal. Use  regular  salt  while  cooking  the  food
