Low level of vitamin d

I have tested for complete body test so i find everything normal except vitamin d ; it is 18 as i feel tired sleepy and pain in legs etc sometime faint also so doctor suggest me calcirol 6k for 8 weeks so i started from last 3 weeks but no so much improvement shows so what should i do for fast recovery my calcium is 9.5 does i need any more medicine or it takes time to recover
