Low Empathy & Big Ego - Am I Normal?
Hello!
I grew up in a home with a very abusive BPD mother and violent thoughts.
I’m doing incredible socially, academically, but don’t feel romantic attraction.
My peers seem to think I’m charming yet intimidating, since I’m vengeful and feel no remorse for social/emotional manipulation, even destroying relationships. I only dislike causing *physical* harm.
I’m not sure if it’s because I don’t wanna go to jail or because of pure empathy.
Can anyone tell me if it’s a PD or something?
Hi there, at 19 it's wonderful that you are noticing all this. Remember you can choose who you want to be. Stop yourself from reacting automatically to events. Appraise your behaviour and emotions. Your age and your insight are great prognostic factors.
