It’s actually very common for the lipid profile to rise temporarily after dengue. When the body goes through severe infection, inflammation, hospital stay, low platelets, and dehydration, the liver metabolism changes for a few weeks. This can cause: Higher cholesterol Higher triglycerides Mild liver enzyme fluctuations Weakness and slower recovery This does NOT usually mean you have long-term cholesterol disease. In most patients, the lipid levels gradually settle within 6–8 weeks once the body fully recovers. But before deciding anything, the right approach is: 1. Review the “before vs after” reports properly 2. Check liver function, inflammation markers, hydration status 3. Understand whether your diet or activity changed after dengue 4. Re-check lipid profile at the correct timing (fasting + after recovery) Without seeing the exact values clearly, no responsible doctor should start or stop any treatment. Dengue recovery itself needs a structured follow-up to ensure nothing is missed. If you want, you can send your full reports and I’ll guide you on what’s normal, what’s concerning, and what steps you actually need right now without unnecessary medicines. Considering your age first of all you don't need to start treatment just give trial for lifestyle modification No sugar no processed food no oily and bakery stuff Engage in exercise of moderate Intensity 150min/week and check your thyroid and vit d3 status (as they also can contributor) Then after around 8weeks of change consider lipid profile again to see improvement..then we will review ur case
