I am a 30 year old married woman. I am sexually active with only one partner since almost 2 years. Yesterday I experienced little vaginal bleeding after intercourse. I saw the bleeding after I wiped my genitals with a napkin. After that, there wasn’t any bleeding. I had a similar episode around 4-5 months back but the bleeding was very little so I thought maybe it was because of a vaginal injury due to fast sex or deep penetration. I went to gynaecologist today and did sonography which was perfectly normal. The doctor gave me antibiotics for 3 days as it could be a vaginal injury. But she also said that bleeding after intercourse could be a sign of cervical cancer and if bleeding happens again, they will do PAP smear test to check for that. I am really scared and can’t live with the feeling that I might be having cancer. I want to rule out all the possibilities of a cancer by doing all the tests but the doctor asked me to wait until it bleeds again. What should I do?
