Light spotting after IUI

It has been over 30 days since my wife had periods and it has been 19 days since she underwent IUI. Today she noticed very light red spot in the white vaginal discharge. She tells me that she has never experienced like this before. Is it a sign of implantation or period? Kindly advise

1 If it is 19 days post iui you can do a pregnancy test with morning sample urine to check for pregnancy
