Ligament Injury: Can MRI scan be wrong ?

I have been diagnosed with a complete ACL tear according to an MRI. However when the doctor performed a Lachlan test and others he found no issue. He infact thought it was more of a PCL tear with physical examination. Can the MRI report be wrong or read wrongly by the Doctor ?

MRI report is not the golden line in terms of your diagnosis. Daignosis is essentially a mix up of history, clinical, MRI and diagnostic Arthroscopy. Final diagnosis may be different from ROM provisional diagnosis.
Health Tips
Based on your symptoms and examination, taking MRI into consideration, a diagnosis is made up. It is not uncommon to finds MRI and clinical tests not correlating. Do not worry.
