Last year may i was found out that i have oral lichen planus. I was given medication.Kenokot. But..the patches are still there.. It's been a year.. P.s. i smoke regularly...

Thank you for your query This has been answered by my specialist. According to her kindly cease to smoke as that itself is a causative factor. Moreover she has also asked if you have any skin patches associated with this lichen. If so kindly consult a dermatologist as soon as possible There are seasonal variations to lichen hence she has advised for you to be patient with the therapy and have periodic follow up with your doctor. If you have pain or burning sensation consult one immediately as lichen planus is a known pre cancerous disease Regards
