Lesser hearing with right ear

I've always felt that my left ear is the dominant one and I hear lesser with my right ear. I tend to use the phone also always with my left ear. It is not that I can't hear my my right ear but it's significantly lower than the left. What could be the possible reasons for the same? Is it some serious problem?

Need to think of a lot of things. Starting from something as simple as wax. U haven't told the exact duration. Ideally u need an ear examination and hearing tests. Please do at the earliest.
