My eye power has been -9 for 3 years, I'm 21 years old. Someone told me that you can only get Lasik done if your power is below -8.. So according to this, I'm not eligible for lasik right? Please someone help

Your corneal thickness needs to be evaluated with a topography scan but a procedure called implantable Collamer lens or ICL will be an ideal procedure for you ….you can consult the ophthalmologist and avail this.

In lasik, more the power, more cornea had to be removed. At your power, the cornea to be removed will be too much and not safe. So LASIK is not preferred.

You should get in touch with some good eye centre where lasik is done. If thickness of cornea is good, lasik can be done for any power.
