For gall bladder stones, always entire gall bladder is removed. It is obviously major surgery, but extremely safe if done by experienced surgeon. U can go home within 1-2 days after surgery. As such, surgery itself is a risk. But don't worry about them, they can be managed very well by experienced surgeon.
