Soft tissue injuries like ACL tears take time to resolve, maybe Upto even 6 months. The 8nner part of the meniscus which your tear is in, does.not have blood supply, so it will not heal. Only the outer part of the meniscus has blood supply.
I would advice you to start gentle activities now. DO NOT do any contact sports or running or sports which involve twisting the knee for a few more months. Take it gently and start to build up the strength of your knee. Seek physiotherapy advice as well. Only after you have done a proper rehabilitation will it be known if you need further surgery of your knee.
Hope this helps.
