Knee and back problems. Cannot exercise

Hi, I'm 67 and overweight. I need to lose 50 lbs but I cannot do most exercises due to knee and back pains. I am told I need to burn 500 cals a day from exercise to drop 1 lb a week. What exercises can I do?
