Kidney tuberculosis
A person close to me was diagnosed kidney tuberculosis. It was diagnosed through CT urography scan, but it could not be diagnosed through tests in pathology (AFB etc). Please tell me the standard treatment of kidney tuberculosis. Patient's weight is around 60 Kg.
Also tell me if TB is again tested during treatment and how it is tested.
If he has symptoms like fever, night cough it must be productive (not dry )it with blood stains, perspiration,loss of weight.
Next Steps
Ask him to do blood test (heamogram) CBC,ESR, sputum test and Monteux test .kidney function test.

Hi, he has to take ATT for long time . But before starting ATT ,he has to do KFT n LFT investigations . Acc. To that dose will be fixed. Again he has to do CT urography during treatment.
