Keratoconus is progressive eye disease in which round cornea thins& begin to bulge into a cone like shape. This cone deflects the light as it enters the eye causing distorted vision. It may occur inone or both eyes & usually begins in growing age.   Research suggests the weakness of the corneal tissue leading to keratoconus, may be due to imbalance in enzyme within cornea making it susceptible for free radical causing it weaken& bulge forward. In mild  keratoconus, soft contact lens may help.  Treatment for progressive  keratoconus may include corneal cross-linking, custom soft  contact lens, permeable contact lens, scleral or semiscleral lens, corneal  transplant, piggyback contact lens,, corneal collagen cross-linking non-invasive procedure using topical application of vit B2 & ultra violet light to strengthen chemical bond in cornea effectively stabilising the eyes of children with keratoconus. Last remedy to be considered is penetrating keratoplasty. In
