My wife aged 32yers old having severe pain in left ankle with swelling and she is pregnant also in the 8th month.we consulted the doctors for this but the prescribed only plain paracetamol painkiller. moreover the pain remains consistent.she is unable to move .please provide a medical consultation so that overcome this problem.

Paracetamol is safe in pregnancy and hence it's the ideal choice for pain relief. Get her to massage her ankles and keep it elevated on a pillow at nights to help reduce swelling. Heat packs also help. And use diclo gel application. You may consult to increase your dose of painkillers.
