Jaw pain..

While opening my jaw I am experiencing a slight pain with tick sound ..what can be the reason... I am to scared to visit a dentist ..

Hello See if you are experiencing pain along with sound while opening and closing your mouth that means there is some problem in your bite as well as the TMJ joint. You definitely have to visit a dentist especially an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who is also a TMJ specialist. Just get a consultation done. No need to be scared before visiting a dentist. You just have to go for a consultation so that a proper examination can be done and the doctor will be able to guide you better what all is needed for the treatment

Jaw clicking with accompanying pain is typically a cause for concern...its may be due to wisdom tooth eruption.....U may require immediate dental checkup  to ur nearby dentist....
