Jaundice in newborn baby.

Hi doctor my baby is 36day old and she has jaundice I am breastfeeding her. I was taking 25 mg thyroid tablet during my pregnancy. My doctor said its not a serious one but I want to know how much maximum time it will take for jaundice in newborn to completely cure. Thank you

if The jaundice is on decreasing Trend then please do not worry because many times jaundice from the skin and eyes takes one and a half month to 2 months to totally go away. But if it is on the increasing Trend that it is important to find the cause and accordingly investigations and treatment is given.

Most likely it's a breastfeeding Jaundice. Treatment of Jaundice is avoid 24 hrs breastfeeding

Helli ! 1 month to 1.5 mnth. Go for tsh for baby also

As such shouldn't be there Below 5 or 2 it is normal Can check thyroid levels of the baby Can be breastfeeding or breastmilk jaundice
