IVF embryo transfer and constipation

2023-07-05 05:19:51
Hi Doc, Yesterday I got an embryo transfer done and I was feeling constipated. While pooping after 4hrs of ET I tried pushing by creating abdominal pressure to poop as I was in constipation. Next morning also I felt constipated but I didn't try pushing hard thinking that it would affect implantation. Does this intraabdominal pressure while passing stool have any adverse effects on implantation?

Due to high progesterone level in pregnancy constipation is a common problem. Moreover in ivf usually progesterone is given in tablets and injection form Please increase your water intake , take high fibre diet , use mild laxatives. Intra abdominal pressure might not affect implantation but may cause hemorrhoids

constipation does not adversely affect implantation but rather than trying to push hard take a  stool  softener
