Itching around labia minora and swelling

2025-11-01 11:43:03
A few days ago, i started getting an itch around my vagina, nothing internal. Only on the external surface. It also resulted in the swelling of my labia and it sticking out. Used to wear loose clothes, no underwear and it was healing on it's own but now i got my periods and I have to wear a pad. The surface of the pad touches the protruding swollen labia and it hurts. Not exactly hurts but a constant mild irritation is there. What should I do? What medicines can I take to ease it out? Thank you!

Hi. It occurs during and after periods. Keep hygiene and apply candid V vaginal cream x 5 to 7 days. Or do consult with us.

Seems to be fungal infection or may be because of dryness earlier, wash that area with water only once , try to keep it dry, dont use any otc cream there. Change pad every 3-4 hours. Wear cotton loose garments

The symptoms may indicate a local infection. However yeast does not cause pain. This could also be due to another local pathology such as a cyst or folliculitis.
