Hello, I am diagonized with deviated nasal septum and allergic rhinitis. I am using Montek LC and metatop nasal spray. If i use medicine it will be fine if not I will have sneezing and runny and blocked nose. Is surgery necessary? If my allergic rhinitis gets reduced, should I go for surgery? Please help. Thanks, Shalini.

Deviated nasal septum is not an absolute indication for nasal Septoplasty. As it isa structural issue
Next Steps
Depends on degree of deviation, gross or minimal. whether associated with other features like nasal blockage and sinusitis.

Surgery is not going to help reducing your allergic symptoms Treatment for allergy varies how severe your symptoms are

Allergy will not be reduced with surgery, it needs medical therapy, by surgery only the obstructive symptoms will be relieved.

Surgery is the only solution for a nasal septal deviation.....but your problem is Allergic Airway Disease which is essentially an immune system disorder!
