Is local anasthesia allowed in pregnancy

Hello Experts, Can u pls b so kind to let me know if local anasthesia is safe during first tremester of pregnancy. I am realy scared to go for teeth cleaning w/o Anasthesia. If its not safe , do u recomend to go for it after pregnancy? I dont have any tooth complaint for now , wanto do it as just a preventive measure . Thanking you so much. Best Regards, Apurva Sheth

Wait till second trimester before doing anything. Even teeth cleaning causes transient bacteremia. No need for La for cleaning.

hloo mam for cleaning there is not a requirement of anaesthesia and it's safe to for scaling as in pregnancy there are more chance of gum disease You can also practo consult us

Hello, Local anesthesia is not required for teeth cleaning procedure.You can  go ahead with teeth cleaning without anesthesia

HELLO MAM.... It is not advicible to do procedure under local anesthesia during first Trimister of pregnancy unless a concern from gynaecologist and general physician....moreover teeth cleaning doesnot required local anesthesia….during first trimester of pregnancy it is advicible to do only minor procedures like cleaning and filling......

Hello mam, it's not advisable to give local anaesthesia during the first trimester period without the consent of your gynecologist even though it's safe during pregnancy. For preventive measures local anaesthesia is not usually given hence you may go for minor dental procedures like cleaning and fillings. I would advise you to consult your gynecologist before going ahead with Dental treatment.
