Lipomas can be removed surgically. They are essentially fat collections within a covering. They can also be responded by sucking out the fat from the covering using very thin tubes called microcannulae. This is done under tumescent local anaesthesia, a technique invented in USA. This is done as an outpatient procedure with no requirement for admission. However, if you have Mediclaim, this can be covered under that.
