Hi, My wife had GDM 2 years before and everything went normal after delivery. We have done the blood test yesterday and found both fasting and PP are 341/501 respectively. She lost some amount of weights also. Is GDM will turn to permenant diabetic. Herewith enclosed attachment.

There are high chances of diabetes recurring when a lady has had gdm. Hence we usually ask for regular checkups starting from as early as 6 weeks after delivery. Your wife has now developed type 2 diabetes and her reports warrant starting of medicines urgently. Weight loss is also mostly due to diabetes.
