Is cml in chronic curable permanently

I m suffering from cml chronic phase from past 11 years. Taking Imatinib 400 regularly. Bcr abl came 94% +ve initial but came down to zero after 6 month of treatment, after then it's zero +ve always. Can I stop medicine?

As per latest evidence if bcl abl 0% for more than 2 yrs then imatinib can be stopped. But bcl abl to be frequently monitored. If any time again bcr abl detectable imatinib should be restarted. Discuss with your oncologist for pros and cons of stopping imatinib
