My mom is 45 years old. She is having periods for more than 15 days. First 10 to 12 days bleeding is like a patch but now it's heavy enough. Kindly suggest we should wait for next cycle or any medication required?

This can be hormonal imbalance or some problems with uterus  or  ovarian cysts. Please contact for Ultrasound and needful.

You need to get thyroid profile and ultrasound lower abdomen done to look for cause. And see gynaecologist personally.
