Irregular periods
I had been sexually active on 5th July and it was protected intercourse but somehow the condom broke and i took the ipill the next day within 24 hours. i experienced spotting for 1-2 days near 30th July and i had run a home test on 27th july and it was negative and one on 7th august again it was negative but it has been more than a week than my expected periods and my last period was on 27th june . my expected date was 1-7 august and the waiting period is also over . i do experience cramps but i dont get my periods. what should i do? m really worried.
An i-Pill taken within 24 hours works well, but it commonly disrupts the next cycle. The most typical pattern is that the next period arrives 5 to 10 days earlier or later than expected, and the flow may be lighter or heavier than usual. Twelve days past the expected date, with an i-Pill in the mix, does not automatically mean pregnancy.
Next Steps
Please take a home urine pregnancy test with the first morning urine, since it has already been well past 3 weeks since the intercourse. A negative result at this stage is reliable. If the test is negative and the period still does not arrive in the next 2 weeks, book a gynaecologist consultation to check what is delaying the cycle.

The emergency contraception can sometimes change the cycle. You will get your period eventually, don't worry - since two UPT kits are negative - you most likely aren't pregnant. Just to be sure, get a blood test for serum beta HCG - if it's negative you can safely wait for your period which is delayed cause of the emergency contraception pill.
