Iron supplement

My Doctor has prescribed iron supplement from 9th month for my baby.. Tasiron 1 ml other than that she only takes 1 ml D3.. Her birth weight was 2.3kg and her current weight is 7.7kg.. The thing is after taking iron drops she poops a lot not loose motion but she poops 4 to 5 times a day.. what should we do and also she becomes hyper active after iron drops.. Please helpe with the solution.. should I reduce the dose or try something else.. is iron supplement needed?

These are side effects of iron. If causing significant discomfort to baby, try other brands eg. tonoferon, ferofit, feronia etc. It is better to give iron supplementation at this age as your baby is transitioning from breast milk to solids. With babies increasing growth requirement, only breast milk iron might not be sufficient. Also focus on iron rich diet.

You can try other brands like feronia xt/fez xt. Tge things you mentioned is the side effect of iron supplementation. No need to worry.
