Iron deficiency

Should I take any iron supplement? Is making changes in diet enough? I have anal fissures. So, I met my gastro-surgeon, who said nothing to worry about since haemoglobin is normal(15.25) but I forgot to ask those questions given above. Could you please help with this? Thank you.

No need for iron supplementation. Take foods rich in fibre.
