I have had braces done around 7 years ago and currently have a relapse. Additionally, my jaw joints have been hurting and the pain triggers a headache. Upon doing an OPG my wisdom tooth were seen near. My doctor recommended braces again since there is still overcrowding and overbite. Would you recommend braces with the chances of my wisdom tooth erupting any time soon?

Hi there. If The wisdom tooth here is the reason behind the pain. Yes get it removed first. Also you can get braces treatment again. This time you can opt for something more comfortable and convenient like clear aligners or lingual Braces as you are an adult now. Hope this helped

You are probably facing crowding again due to a phenomenon called late incisor crowding when the third molars push all the teeth in front to make space for it to erupt.

Hi.
Jaw pain might be due to ur wisdom tooth,get it extracted.
U can go for orthodontic treatment for the second time,but make sure u use retainer after treatment,to avoid relapse.

Hi if your malignment still exists and you require a correction you can go ahead and get braces again. Kindly get retainers after the treatment so that retention of treatment is achieved even after removal of braces.
Wisdom tooth if pose as an hindrance to treatment and if they are giving you jaw pain and trouble they can be removed before during or after braces .
TMJ pain or jaw joint pain needs an assessment .
