What is integrated quadrupole test and when it is done.does it requires ultrasound also . Why it is recommended by any doctor,is it mandatory in second trimester to do this test

It's commonly done between 15 and 19 weeks of pregnancy. Ultrasound is needed to identify the correct age of pregnancy.

It is a blood test of the pregnant woman at 12 wks and later at 15-18 wks. Ultrasound is also required. It is a screening test for chromosomal abnormalities like Down’s syndrome. It is mandatory for high risk mothers.
