There are many causes and types of insomnia. You need an assessment for any underlying medical causes followed by a psychological assessment if all other things are fine . in the meanwhile, follow some sleep hygiene tips like sleeping and awaking up at almost same times, avoiding tea, coffee, alcohol late in evenings, avoiding daytime naps, using bed only to sleep. Practice meditation as it would help you too. Good luck.
