I noticed a long, flat boil/lump about 4 cm in size on my pubic area around 10 days ago. At the same time, I had lower abdominal pain on the same side for about 3 days, which resolved on its own. I used warm compresses for a few minutes over 2 days, after which the lump drained spontaneously and reduced significantly in size. It is now much smaller than it was initially. The area where the lump has reduced has left a dark mark, which is slightly itchy only when touched. I currently have no pain, redness, warmth, swelling, or fever, and I have not felt unwell at any point. Should I have the remaining lump examined by a doctor, or is it reasonable to leave it alone and allow it to resolve on its own?
