I want to know all about contraceptive pills. How safe they are, their side effects, and what is the right time to take them.

Hi there, there are certain things that the doctor needs to rule out before prescribing you any pill. Combined pills ( most widely used oral contraceptive) have to be avoided in certain conditions. The doctor needs to review your medication history and medical history. Other options are intra uterine devices, deposit progesterone injections, barrier methods and saheli. Visit your gynecologist on the second or third day of your period,so that the most suitable method is advised to you. And don't use emergency contraceptive pills (I pill) as a regular contraceptive,it has very high failure rates.
