Is the swelling painful? If the swelling develops and subsides on it’s own it’s probably a small calculus(stone) in your Stenson’s duct or some stenosis of the duct. It is partly blocking the outflow of saliva from the gland therefore while having food or after, the swelling develops and once the saliva flows out gradually the swelling subsides. You can get a sialography for Parotid Gland & duct done or a simple Ultrasonography or you may get a HRCT of the face and parotid region, to rule out a sialolith(calculus). Kindly visit a nearby ENT clinic in case the duct requires dilatation or if there is a sialolith.

Get an ultrasound of the parotid region and neck.

A course of medications with antibiotics and analgesic.
