Snoring occurs secondary to obstruction to the upper airway during sleep. There can be many reasons for snoring such as 1. Deviated nasal septum 2. Adenotonsillar hypertrophy 3. Lax palatal muscles 4. Obesity with thick and short neck 5. Tongue base hypertrophy 6. Maxillo facial bony abnormalities Mist common cause for snoring is sudden weight gain with collection of fat in the neck Before going for any treatment you should reduce atleast 10 of your weight which many timed will reduce snoring significantly Consult nearby ENT specialist for more information
