Hyper Thyroidism

I have hyper thyroidism from the past 2.5 years. At that time one of  my locality gynaecologist prescribed me to use medicines regarding hypo thyroidism, after that I consulted endocrinologist, he said I used wrond medicines, after that I decrease dose of medicines, and then I changed medicines, those are methemazol and norten. I used medicines, and my reports were normal. I got married last year, from last 1 year I didn't used medicines properly, now I lost my weight upto 7 to 8 kgs, I started medicines again but still I am not gaining weight, so suggest me what to do.

Hello... I suppose u r case of graves disease as u took treatment for long time... And worsening of symptoms again suggest u are still not in remission or cured.... Plz do T3T4TSH immediately and consult good endocrinologist... As before planning pregnancy and all your condition needs to be tackled properly to have better outcomes for baby and mother...

If you have had hyperthyroidism for 2.5 years. Likely have graves. Now you can remain on methimazole lifelong or take a radioactive tablet or get a surgery. Last two will keep you on thyroid hormone tablet life long.
