How much sleep required for 21 yrs old

As a student 21 years old , Is it okay to have  6 hrs sleep at night and 1 hr nap in day or if a 7 hr continuous sleep at night is necessary?

Every body has its own sleep requirements,but an healthy person should sleep for 7-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep.for a good night sleep avoid sleeping in the day time.

To conclude the sleep pattern , we need to know your routine, life style and work pattern. If you are in armed forces your sleep pattern will be rotational. As a student it will be different for different students If you follow healthy habits 6-8 hours range is good. Though sleep during, afternoon should not be post lunch. Afternoon sleeps are also known as power nap, can be taken for 15 mins to 45 mins

Whatever your bodys requirement on a day to day basis it will allow you to take it as sleep.. Even, you could have experienced different sleep patterns all by yourself on different occasions.. And, if you are fresh and energetic with so much of hours sleep, you need not worry about the number of hours..

One should avoid sleeping in afternoon And at night sleep depends on your body environment So if you sleep for 7hrs and feel good the next day you know it.. All the best
